Who We Are
The Zartonk Foundation is a nonprofit organization established to support independent Armenian media, cultural preservation, public education, and community resilience.
Founded by the team behind Zartonk Media, the Foundation exists to ensure that essential Armenian stories, institutions, and initiatives can be sustained beyond news cycles, social media algorithms, or political pressure.
While Zartonk Media focuses on journalism and reporting, the Zartonk Foundation supports the broader ecosystem that allows independent Armenian voices to endure.
The Foundation operates independently, transparently, and without political or corporate influence. Its work is grounded in the belief that a strong Armenian future depends on knowledge, memory, and institutional continuity.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Zartonk Foundation is to strengthen Armenian communities by supporting independent media, preserving cultural and historical truth, and advancing education and public understanding.
Our Vision
We envision Armenian communities—both in the homeland and the diaspora—that are informed, resilient, and equipped to safeguard their history, identity, and collective future.
We believe that Armenian continuity depends not only on survival, but on the ability to understand our past accurately, engage the present honestly, and prepare responsibly for the future. This requires independent media, preserved cultural memory, and educational initiatives that strengthen critical thinking and long-term awareness.
Our vision is of an Armenian public sphere where knowledge is not diluted, history is not distorted, and institutions are built to endure beyond moments of crisis. Through sustained support for independent journalism, cultural preservation, and education, the Zartonk Foundation seeks to help ensure that Armenian identity, experience, and truth remain intact and accessible for generations to come.
